At Hotel de Sterrenberg we believe that true luxury doesn’t lie only in wellness and comfort, but also in acting consciously towards the world around us. That’s why we are a proud partner of Hotels for Trees. Every guest who chooses to skip a housekeeping service helps contribute to something bigger: a new tree. In this way, together we make a tangible difference for nature, directly from your hotel bed. A small gesture, a big effect – exactly how we like to see it.

Since joining the Hotels for Trees initiative late 2022, we’ve seen an annual increase in guest participation. The ease at which our guests can participate and choose to contribute to a greener world is met with great enthusiasm. Resulting now in an average of ~1000 trees planted per month and since joining close to 18.000 trees. Being a Green Globe Platinum Member (certified for ten consecutive years), this initiative is not only a presentation of our own sustainability achievements but also resonates very well with today’s eco-conscious traveller.

Partnering with Hotels for Trees aligns perfectly with our sustainability goals at Hotel Oderberger Berlin. Together, we’ve already planted 765 trees, reducing our environmental footprint while engaging guests in a positive initiative. It’s a win-win for hospitality and the planet.

Before I started working at the Radisson Hotel & Suites, I was not familiar with Hotels for Trees. I’ve noticed that many of our guests value it, and instead of choosing a drink or points, they are more likely to opt for planting a tree. A few of my colleagues and I also go out to plant the trees ourselves, and we share this with our guests. They really appreciate it, and so far, we’ve already planted 2.496 trees. Personally, I think it’s a fantastic initiative, and we will definitely continue with it!
