We’ve been working with Hotels for Trees for about three years now, and it’s been such a great experience. Our guests and staff have responded very positively, and it’s great to see how much they appreciate the sustainability effort. More and more, our guests want to know their stay is making a difference, and it’s been amazing seeing the impact. We love seeing all the trees being planted, and we’re excited to keep it going!

Room Mate Mario is proud to participate in this initiative, which allows us to contribute to environmental sustainability in a tangible and meaningful way. We started recently (3 months ago) and with the sum of each day we have planted 252 trees. This small action not only helps to reduce water and energy consumption, but also supports reforestation efforts and raises awareness among our guests. At Pestana Amsterdam Riverside, our partnership with Hotels for Trees since November 2023 has been a resounding success. Over the past 1.5 years, we’ve received a lot of positive feedback from our guests who appreciate the initiative of waiving cleaning services in exchange for planting trees. An impressive 32% of our stayover guests have chosen to plant a tree at least once during their stay, contributing to a healthier planet. This initiative has not only positively influenced our cost structure but also enhanced our guests’ perception of our sustainability efforts. It’s truly a win-win!
