Where hotel guests plant trees

Before I started working at the Radisson Hotel & Suites, I was not familiar with Hotels for Trees. I’ve noticed that many of our guests value it, and instead of choosing a drink or points, they are more likely to opt for planting a tree. A few of my colleagues and I also go out to plant the trees ourselves, and we share this with our guests. They really appreciate it, and so far, we’ve already planted 2.496 trees. Personally, I think it’s a fantastic initiative, and we will definitely continue with it!

At Pestana Amsterdam Riverside, our partnership with Hotels for Trees since November 2023 has been a resounding success. Over the past 1.5 years, we’ve received a lot of positive feedback from our guests who appreciate the initiative of waiving cleaning services in exchange for planting trees. An impressive 32% of our stayover guests have chosen to plant a tree at least once during their stay, contributing to a healthier planet.
