Where hotel guests plant trees

The idea of planting trees and consciously foregoing room cleaning is taken seriously by our guests and implemented immediately. This also means that linen and towels are not changed. This reduces our carbon footprint. Guests rate this initiative very highly and share their experiences in their feedback/reviews.

Our partnership with Hotels for Trees has had a significant impact. For every night a room does not need to be cleaned, a tree is planted. This helps us reduce our ecological footprint and allows us to contribute to a greener future. Our hotel guests have responded enthusiastically. As a result, we have already planted more than 3.500 trees (March 2025). We are proud of this partnership and look forward to creating even more positive change together.

Royal Lancaster London has been a proud partner of Hotels for Trees since 2022, becoming the first hotel in the UK to join the initiative. Room Mate Mario is proud to participate in this initiative, which allows us to contribute to environmental sustainability in a tangible and meaningful way. We started recently (3 months ago) and with the sum of each day we have planted 252 trees. This small action not only helps to reduce water and energy consumption, but also supports reforestation efforts and raises awareness among our guests.
