Ireland – Forestation

Trees planted

In Ireland, near Gallway, a piece of land, more than 4 hectares big, will be reforested. Currently, it exists out of agricultural land and a bit of monotonous spruce forests. Little native wildlife and biodiversity can be found. Trees such as common oak, birch, hazel, hawthorn and rowan are planted. This variety of species will create habitat for plants, fungi, insects, mammals and birds.
