In a special place in Kroondomein Het Loo, the forests of Paleis Het Loo on the Veluwe, the Klosse family came to the Echoput in 1955. Theehuis ‘De Echo’ has since grown into a 5-star hotel-restaurant where everything revolves around the gastronomic experience in harmony with nature.
Restaurant de Echoput has been known for years for its game preparations and wine and food pairings. Together with the current chef Kevin Schlaman, the third generation of Klosse still draws daily inspiration from the traditions and knowledge: “We want to get everything out of nature, literally and figuratively.” In doing so, the Echoput is ambitious in sustainability: “We see it as our responsibility to add value to our environment. For people, animals and nature. We call something waste only after we have tried to get everything out of the ingredient.”
