Hotels for Trees and Trees for All are supporting Limburgs Landschap to establish more than 30 hectares of new forest, divided into 26 parcels of various sizes. The new forest will be located in Venlo, Peel en Maas, Nederweert, Weert, Maasgouw, Eijsden-Margraten and Valkenburg aan de Geul. In total 136.660 trees and shrubs will be planted in 3 planting seasons.

In the municipality of Land van Cuijk in the province Noord-Brabant, it is badly needed to restore forest and plant new forest. Hotels for Trees and Trees for All want to help with this by planting over 7,165 trees on a former cross-country track and on a bare grassland. This project has now been completed.

There are plenty of opportunities in North Brabant to plant more trees and thus expand the amount of forest in the Netherlands. Therefore, together with Brabants Landschap, we are planting 379,870 trees and shrubs throughout the province. We are planting new forest, restoring existing forest and creating more connections between existing nature areas.

In recent years we have made a start with the planting. More information can be found here.

Next to that, the habitat of the garden dormouse is being restored, by placing new hedges (5000 of the total amount). It is critically threatened and currently only survives in the South of Limburg. By planting hedges, the connection between the last two garden dormouse populations can be made.
