Your trees are planted along the Swan River at Mandoon Moitch (Guildford Meadows, a part of Whiteman Park), just 15km north-east from Perth CBD.

The site was largely cleared for grazing in the 1930s, with only the wetland and a few large trees remaining. Before the clearing, the wetland was surrounded by native vegetation including Eucalyptus rudis (Moitch / Flooded Gum) woodland. The park is considered to be an area of environmental importance that provides a viable habitat for threatened native animal species, and is home to significant cultural sites of the local Noongar people. A wide range of endangered local wildlife species frequent the area including Carnaby’s Black Cockatoos, possums and bandicoots.

With your help, we are restoring these critical ecosystems, providing an important habitat for native animals, and creating lasting benefits for future generations.

These trees are planted by our WA reforestation partner Trillion Trees Australia, who organise community plantings and who grow their own stock of native trees and shrubs. Planting season is approximately between May and September.
