New forests are planted in both Friesland and Drenthe.
Currently in the Ketliker Skar nature reserve, Friesland, a monotone forest exists with only a few different types of tree species. These forests are not adapt for the effects of climate change, therefore, together with Trees for All, we are planting 25 different species of trees and shrubs.

Next to that, a forest is made in the countryside of Drenthe, het Wiekersholt. By planting native trees, nature areas are connected with each other. This way, the landscape becomes more resilient and it creates a more biodiverse ecosystem.
