From jaguars and iguanas to toucans and nose bears, Costa Rica’s tropical forests are home to thousands of plant and animal species. Unfortunately, forests are still disappearing to make way for farmland or plantations. As a result, the habitat of all these plants and animals is becoming smaller and smaller. High time for change!
That is why Trees for All, together with the Foundation Adopt Rainforest and the local population, is planting 27,500 trees in Costa Rica. We are doing this on 25 hectares of pasture land where beautiful tropical rainforest used to be. In this way we are connecting the new forest with surrounding natural areas and creating a contiguous habitat for all these animals. The project also provides work and income for seven local families.
